ESLON
Xastristan:
Xastristan is the most technology-advanced country in the world. Xastristan natives are known as Xastrians. Most of this country is made up of tall, towering cities. It's also one of the most busiest countries, with tourists entering and exiting all the time. Geopgrahically-wise, Xastristan is one of the largest countries existing in Eslon, and is located in the upper left hand area of the continent. The surrounding borders are Meirie and the Myrriad Ocean. Xaxtristan is also the newest country of Eslon, only found around 600 years ago and officially becoming a country 400 years ago. It is also not very polluted at all, considering the fact that there are thousands of cities located in there. They recently had developed new technology that could cancel out and/or lessen the pollution amount.
The country's capital is Oak Hollow, the futuristic utopia which is surrounded by 80 meter walls to keep people from entering as well as exiting. These walls are made from brick and stone, and is reinforced both on the inside and outside with metal and iron. It took at least 50 years for the walls to be built, with the combined effort of every single person in the surrounding areas. Oak Hollow started out as a small town, where residents decided to live to avoid the plague that had been crawling around, 200 years ago. The country's government was officially formed inside of Oak Hollow, and it has been growing ever since.
Cormere:
Cormere is an arid badland/wasteland with the occasional oasis here and there. It has only a few main water resources. Remains of past civilizations can be found here, and there are only a few towns scattered across the land, some being ghost towns. Feral but starving creatures thrive in Cormere, making it dangerous traveling territory. It is in the South Eastern part of Eslon, thus the unbearable heat, but also it's unpredictable weather.
One of the smaller branches of The Beyond Militia is based near the center of Cormere. It is situated on rocky hills, with dead shrubbery all around. A small mountain range, Shattered Heights, can be seen from the South Eastern horizon, along with an oasis. Somewhere, on one of Shattered Heights summits, there is rumored to be a monument from civilizations long gone. Some think of it as a summit for sacrifice, during the days when people worshiped gods.
The capital city of Cormere is some ways further North West, while Theta's remaining soldiers inhabit the very most southern and eastern area. The capital is called Fyrehaven, due to the usually burning temperatures, but also because of its safest location in Cormere. One of the major water resources are located in the capital, while the other main most is in the North Eastern part. A few other bodies of water are in the south, most of them are salted however, such as The Shoal Lake - one of the largest salted bodies of water - it has a river connecting it to the world's oceans, Shea River, which has greenery running alongside it.
Despite the few ghost towns, there is one in particular which many travelers call it Shadekeep. It always seems gloomy, grey, dry, and eerie during any time of day, especially midnight. Many say ghosts haunt the town and those who sleep there overnight, are never to be seen again. There is another smaller, main city, in the South West, named Ashton due to the fact that it was established near Cormere's most famous volcano, Mount Molten. It is in it's dormant state, at the moment, though it is said to be active once more in a few decades.
Plateaus are too, found in Cormere, for example, the Starred Flats. It is also recorded that large craters, surrounded by vast deserts (Infernal Expanse), lie in Cormere. They are spread out, but the largest one noted is the Caved Crater - at its depths are what seem to be carved out tunnels and caves. Ruins of ancient civilizations are quite common, found all over Cormere. Two of the most famous ruins are the Abyss Temple - situated up north, and Exiled Shore - located on the southern coast.
There are a couple of coastal cities down south, but none in the eastern part. Mainly due to the Shattered Heights Mtn range, which makes it convenient for Theta to take control over a portion of Cormere to themselves.Though, there is one place in the south east, called The Ends Vault. It is faintly printed on world maps, and it is hardly talked about. Nobody knows where the name originated from or why it is named as such. It continues to lie as a mystery today.
Meirie:
Meirie is the country of Firalyn Celestia and her relatives. They are ruled by the Celestia clan, referred to as Celestials.
Meirie is composed of 10 city-states, 5 owned by Yin and 5 owned by Yang. The Royal City (not one of the city states) is not to be confused with one of the city states and is the capital of Meirie, home of the royal family. The only ones with names are the largest and/or most famous.
The Celestia Clan is an ancient prodigious mage clan. There are two branches, the Yin Clan and the Yang Clan. Yin, the "dark" side of the Celestias, represents the endless darkness of space, the night sky, and the moon. Yang, the "bright" side, represents daytime, the Sun, and stars. The Yin clan was known for its Requip: Night mages, who created and used legendary swords of black and silver. Most of the Yin had black hair and silver or black eyes, and were quiet, intelligent, and mysterious. Meanwhile, the Yang Clan specialized in a form of Celestial Spirit magic. There hair and eyes were normally eye-poppingly bright and often somewhat painful to the eyes of the dark and brooding Yin. The Yang were often quirky, impulsive, and seemed to have a never-ending supply of energy. These differences often escalate to disputes between the two branches, the largest, most well-known, and most recent being the Celestia Civil War. A marriage alliance between the leaders of the two branches--Fira’s parents-- eventually ended this war. The current ruler of Meirie is Kinami Celestia, Firalyn’s older sister.
Meirie is composed of 10 city-states, 5 owned by Yin and 5 owned by Yang. The Royal City (not one of the city states), much like Washington D.C., is not to be confused with one of the city states and is the capital of Meirie and home of the royal family. All of them have epithets, which I’ve listed below rather than their actual names, because really, how much of a pain is that, right? The only ones with names are the largest/most famous.
Yin City-States--
- Jianshi: Weapons Capital
- Heishan: Technology Capital (this is the only city with extremely advanced tech)
- Magic Capital
- Sky Capital
- Automail Capital
Yang City-States--
- Jiading: Fashion Capital
- Pudong: Food Capital
- Art Capital
- Architecture Capital
- Nature Capital, aka the City of Spring
Attractions:
- Terracotta Army. Popular for tourism. You probably wouldn’t want to roleplay here…
- Royal Celestial Palace. Popular for tourism. Again, you probably wouldn’t want to roleplay here…
- Jianshi, Heishan, Jiading, and Pudong for weapons, technology, fashion, and food, respectively.
- Huanghe: Yellow River. It flows through every city-state and is the root of life in Meirie.
- Mountains are popular for hunting. There are animals like giant wolves and saber-toothed tiger up there. Their populations are strictly controlled and protected by Meirie.
In Meirie, you can only enter... with the EXPRESS PERMISSION OF A CELESTIAL. This is done to both control population and protect from enemies. You can make up your own Celestial side character, but it needs to ACTUALLY EXIST and INTERACT WITH YOUR CHARACTER. Your character WILL get KICKED OUT if you don’t. How does this work, you might ask? This rule is enforced with magical barriers. If you are allowed in, you’ll get an invisible magical marking that allows you to pass through the barrier. Celestials have these on their skin, but if you’re foreign, you’ll get it on a piece of jewelry or a weapon or something, which you have to have with you to pass through.
The official language of Meirie… is CHINESE. Although most natives learn English and speak it fluently as part of their studies, it’s not their native language.
(Meirie… is BIG. It’s a COUNTRY. You CANNOT simply WALK from one end of Meirie to the other in a DAY. It would take you MONTHS on foot, so please roleplay as such!
Eiria:
Eiria is the home to the wild. All sorts of creatures and beasts roam the land in this environment; it's a place where most people are afraid of entering. Seemingly stuck in prehistoric times, this country is blooming with exotic animals and plants of all kinds. Volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and tsunamis are quite common here, and make for a very dangerous place to live.
Tasatsu/Blood Mist Vally:
Blood Mist Vally or Tasatsu as it is referred to by its natives is a small continent nobody has ever found. It's landscape is divided by two rings: the inner ring and the outer ring. The outer ring is extremely hot, and the ground is impossible to walk on with bare feat and nowhere is it flat. It is dotted with tons of tall mountains filled with rare minerals. Because of the heat the water on the surface is constantly evaporating, however it cools down the higher up it goes and descends upon the multiple floating islands that reside in the deep valleys the mountains naturally create. It then descends off those floating islands and onto the surface below, maintaining a perpetual state of evaporated water hanging in the air mingling with water falling from the sky. This is by far not the only anomaly on the island. It scrambles electronic and organic senses of direction of all outsiders. The natives have adapted to ignore it, but this is one of the large contributing factors as to why the continent has never been located by outsiders. The only way to get to it is if a native brings you to it. The currents around the island push away leaving the water around the island completely still. Not even foreign sea animals are introduced to its ecosystem and if a sea animal strays to far it never gets back and due to its unique climate such creatures rarely survive making all the plants and animals on this continent unique to it. The inner ring of the island is a forest that is below sea level. Due to most of the outer ring being above sea level all the rivers flow into the inner ring rather than into the ocean. The inner ring isn't as hot as the outer ring but it is still a very warm and humid tropic location. In the middle of the inner ring is a very deep swamp being both where all the water of the continent comes in and being the heart of its giant rain forest. The creatures of this continent are all also very dangerous one of the other factors as to why any foreigners who happen to get on it don't get off alive.
The natives of these lands are extremely strong and healthy. Their culture is deeply rooted in surviving these lands with primitive technology. They are also extremely in tune with nature being the best beast tamers and herbalists in the world. They use flying mounts to travel between the floating islands they live on in the outer ring of the continent and beasts they've tamed in the wild to help fend off other beasts in the wild. It took a long time for the natives of this land to find life civilization outside their continent. Because they have evolved to thrive on their continents only climate they do very poorly in other lands. Though they are not up to date with technology their culture is firmly rooted in their primitive ways. They have primitive looking homes and life styles but with all the advantages and convince of modern technology. Imagine a log cabin with a microwave, dish washer, refrigerator, and ect. Tasatusians the natives of the land still however prefer to travel via the personal beasts they have tamed rather than the mechanized transportation of the modern world with one exception. Ironically after the Tasatusians got up to date with technology they began to thrive in the development of space technology and transportation as well as sensor technology possibly having something to do with their continents strange abnormalities.
Minoura:
Minoura is the hidden kingdom of Nature and Technology, the solution that carries the cure for the earths destruction and decay. This kingdom started as a small team of misfits who grew to become rich and powerful, having extraordinary powers to defend themselves and each other. As time passed, the team faded into one man who invested in the great kingdom and had built it alongside hired workers. Three years it took to build such a mighty castle and small town, especially atop of the branches of the Tree of Life. As the kingdom grew, so did the strength of the branches as it would carry the weight of the kingdom itself, the branches were strong enough to carry twenty of the kingdoms combined, but Minoura only expanded into a smaller city with a castle, and this castle was the Temple of Life.
Desmond had invested in a large military upkeep known as the Nemesis Project, a project that was to train all military units and send them out to help those caught in the cross hairs of war, and to aid others by sending food to starving cities and the such, or even give defensive support to towns that are being attacked. The Tree of Life itself is larger then any known Skyscraper and is strong enough to withstand bombs, and this great creation of mysteries takes up most of the country of Minoura. The difference between the country Minoura dint eh Kingdom itself is that Minoura is of much wilderness, while the kingdom is a combination of technology and nature itself.
The buildings are all built in a feudal-Japanese style, but they do have installation, people do, in fact, have TV's, Games, Computers, Freezers, and other tech that is apart of their life, yet they never seem to expand on their tech outside of their homes besides holiday lights. The kingdom is fresh and free of any pollution, and the desert behind the Tree itself has a large military base, carrying thousand of militants and vehicles of destruction, this is where the Nemesis military is, or, the military of the Star Gazers. Most, if not all, of the natives of this land wear tradition yukatas and kimonos. The native tongue of Minoura is Japanese.
