I awake to a sudden scream of agony, its voice filling mine with dread. My eyes dart open with a sudden rush, my breath increasing. I clutch my chest, my breath gradually slowing down. The last time I had heard a screech like that....

But then my mind began to fizz. I felt as if I was trying to remember something that had never happened. At least, not to me.

I shrugged, feeling the ground in front of me. I was shaking, for some reason. Slowly, I stood up, looking around. I was in some kind of forest. I looked around again. How, exactly, did I get here? I wondered.

But again, I shrugged. From the looks of things, I was on the surface. Who knows. I decided to head out. If I was lost, then I'd have to find the closest civilization.

Using my magic, I teleported to where I thought Papyrus and the others were, only to just end up in some strange town I had never even seen before. Frowning, I looked around, genuinely confused. That had never failed before...

Nightingale was sitting on a bench in the shade nearby, reading a volume of fanfic Shakespeare. She used her index finger to guide her reading. Although she had read Hamlet many times, it was her favorite work of Shakespeare. Also Night kind of wanted to get out of Dragonstorm Headquarters for a few hours... Maybe go by a bookstore? Hopefully there would be a book there that she hadn't read, if a such thing existed... Or if Nightingale could take her eyes off her novel.

Noticing something flash before her, her dark blue gaze at last flitted from the words to her surroundings. There stood a person before her that Nightingale didn't recognize. They looked confused, so the goddess greeted them with a soft smile and by saying, "Hello. I haven't seen you around here before."

I blinked, still confused. But I shook it off. Maybe I had just misplaced where I would teleport. A blue flame appeared in my hand, and I sighed. The odd thing, though, was that I couldn't feel Papyrus' soul. I would have teleported, but something stopped me. I turned around to see a woman, who appeared human, but with a very powerful soul.

"heh, hey. i guess you can say because I'm not from around here. this might sound crazy, but mind telling me where i am?" I asked.
