Blissfully unaware of the world and happy.
Ignorant people feared the unknown,
And they were quick to cast it aside.
The willpower of one is nothing compared to many,
Forcing the truth to be forgotten and replaced with lies.
A cycle of bad luck seemingly broken,
Paused to later later come down in a tidal wave.
Lost in thoughts all alone while chasing after hope.
A bright light emerged, revealing a brand new path.
Loneliness was replaced with unity,
But in the end was not enough and failed.
An example of normal and average
living in a world with dwindling hope.
A challenge was made and quickly accepted.
It was ridden with danger and almost failed.
An illusion was cast and soon shattered
as the truth slowly became uncovered.
Innocence replaced with insanity,
Only knowing of destruction and pain.
While annihilating what can’t be replaced,
Arrogance and power began to foster.
A bird with clipped wings confined to a cage
waits patiently for its time to escape.
In the loss of hope endeavors die,
But yet unknown runs the course of fate.
Made a leader of a crude organization
while burying guilt and weakness so none may see.
Chasing after the owner of the cage
to one day capture them and make the key.
The bird released continued to breed destruction
and left before it could pay the consequences.
A curse made for the sole purpose of revenge
punished the responsible innocent.
Change was wrought, questions were asked, and walls were built
because the puppet was chained to their own cage.
