It was going to be a hard transition.

A few years ago she had found out that she could turn into a human. At first, she could care less. Human were weak and pathetic and always trying to kill her. What use was she going to have for that form? Either way, she still took some of her off time to try it, figuring out her limitations and being able to change at will and stay changed. Maybe there was still a reason she should learn to tame her power, to escape out of someone's grasp or just to blend in, learn more about the human. Nah, that'd never happen.

Until it did. She was curious about human life, and just needed a reason to get away from her mountain and normal life. She wanted something exciting, something new, and something that could be dangerous. In human form she couldn't fly or breath fire or pretty much anything. Aero already knew she wouldn't be allowed to just fly over there willy nilly, she'd probably get shot down. And without any real money she just had to bring some of her collected gold and hope that they'd take it.

The good thing about it was that she didn't have any other carry on's but the gold. She also didn't have to worry about her deer stash, as she stopped hunting once she planned on leaving for a while. Her cave was desolate, her gold either buried or with her as she traveled. Aero didn't know what she planned to do once she got there, maybe just learn more about the humans or realize it was a stupid idea and just go back home, where she actually belonged.

After a few gold pieces spent she finally made her way into the city. There was already noticeable differences. There were no trees or plants anywhere, save for a few balconies with plants growing on them and the occasional patch of grass or flower outside of a building. It was noisier and had more movement with cars and all of the people. That's the last one too, all the people. Aero had expected a few more people, but nothing like this. Maybe the rides on the way here with all of those people should have given her a clue, but she didn't think much of it.

After almost getting ran over by some cars she decided to blend into one of the crowds, seeing as they walked across the street only when the white person appeared, not the hand. They also seemed to chat with one another, and use these things that they talked into or tapped on. These were nothing like the ones that came to grab her bounty or in the little cities she decided to burn down. Speaking of bounty, no one had tried to capture her yet, so that was a good sign.

Eventually, the group went into a little building that she didn't feel like going in, the smell was to bitter even with the sweet scents that also came from there. She continued walking, almost thinking that the green trees she saw up ahead weren't real. That was, until she passed by them. There were people playing in the grass that was there, and the artificial things that were in there too. Hesitantly, she reached out to touch one of the trees, feeling the rough bark. The real rough bark. This wasn't fake, it was real. Even with all of the people here, she actually felt at home. But now she didn't know if she should enter the park more, or just stay on the outskirts with this tree, that she was absently rubbing while looking into the park, as if in a daze.

"FUCK YOU, XYLNTHIAN!" A voice roared. Xylnthian laughed, exiting the house with a jaunty little wave. "Love ya too, big bro!" He hopped down the steps happily, phone in hand. Ah, today seemed like a good day. He woke up nice and refreshed, and was even able to get some teasing in at breakfast. Thankfully today was an of day, and so Xylnthian had a whole day's worth of free time to himself. Maybe a nice walk around would have sufficed, so that was exactly what he planned to do.

He paused next to his car, contemplating it. Would it be easier to drive to the park, or should he just walk? It really wasn't a long walk at all, 15 minutes at the max. No, he'd walk. Good exercise anyways. And so Xylnthian did. He strutted--swaggered, he liked to call it--along to some catchy beats. As he reached the park and prepared to walk around the whole thing (because he could), he noticed a girl absentmindedly stroking the bark of a tree while she stared off at the park.

The Salamander raised an eyebrow, running a hand through his red hair. He stopped in front of her, waving a hand before her eyes. "Hey, you ok? Why're you stroking the tree like that?"

    It was sunny... for once.

It appeared that every waking moment of his life (if you could call it that) was coincidentally gloomy and demeaning. Of course, that was just an overstatement. Rather, every waking moment within this city. And this city in particular that an  impenetrable overcast of smog and melancholy always seemed to cling to his backside, tailing him where ever he may wander to. Considering the odds, it was likely just the city. After all, with all the industry and automobiles spitting out the bitter, noxious fumes that they did, he was surprised it even could be as clear as it was today. Maybe something eventful was soon to happen. Although it seemed spiritual to assume that this day in particular was special based only on the weather (which Griffin was most certainly not), he had seen and experienced enough to know to keep an open mind.. and a ready one too.

As Griffin ambled along the streets, veiled by the inky cloak slung over his broad shoulders that hid his bearings and plagued by the overloaded pack he hauled behind him, he began to notice his lack of direction. And yet, he was here for something, right? He had to be. He'd never come here without reason, that was for certain. He'd rather be jumped by a giant boar sooner than he'd come running into the city only to have the guard called on him again. The only exceptions were to buy parts and sell anything he happened to procure while traveling; something he did excessively. One might say it was all he ever did, which would be very true if he didn't seize the occasional 'pest extermination' job. Pest as in giant, bestial monsters terrorizing simple hunters, humble farmers and the usual, victimized town smack in the middle of nowhere (he preferred to leave the mercenary work to the mercenaries). He might as well put his advantages to good use, right? In some ways he had his life planned out for him. In others, his life was simply bent and molded by the world around him; a forever winding river en route to a precipitous waterfall, plummeting into.. well.. wherever one went when they died. Perhaps a new life? Only time could tell. That is, if it applied to troublesome synthetics such as him.

Damn. He was letting his mind wander once again. Although, he supposed it was something that couldn't be helped. Having the attention span of a child was hardly a gift, but it was who he had become, thus, he was left no choice but to cope with it. It was only when obnoxious honks of cars had carried on so long that they had ground down into no more than a mindless animal bleat that Griffin realized he had better escape the endless turmoil that was the streets and hurried on to the one place he knew he didn't mind in the city: the park.

The tranquil and placid atmosphere (well, as close as you could get to tranquil and placid during rush hour) helped soothe his jaded mind, transporting him into a world reminiscent to the world in which he traveled; a land untouched by man; course and unrefined- He was loosing his focus again. Frustrated, he gripped the areas where his temples may have been were he human and flounced away towards a bench, collapsing onto it dramatically. He just wanted to get as far as possible away from these fucking cities and just.. well.. do whatever he did. Without the company of humans.

    "I hate these fucking cities.."

Griffin bellyached to no one in particular, resting his elbows on his knees and his chin in his hands. As he pouted into oblivion, he took notice of a strange girl and a peculiar boy conversing by a tree. The conversation appeared very one sided as the girl (who seemed very partial with reality), stroked the tree as if it were something precious to her. The boy made a likely ill-fated attempt to snap the girl out of her haze. Probably high on some crazy drug. Poor lass. So young. Couldn't be much older than a teenager. Nonetheless, Griffin decided to spectate and see how it would play out from on his seat just across the tree and a little to the left.

She was still debating whether to actually enter the park or not. But the real question she was asking herself was why was she so... scared to enter. She should be fierce and true to her nature but she wasn't in this human form. Maybe it was because she didn't fully know how humans acted, she only reached this little land of paradise from following a crowd. How was she to know how they acted in this environment?

Luckily, she was snapped out of her though when someone waved a hand in front of her face, asking if she was okay. Aero glanced at the tree for a brief second before taking a step away from it, turning to face the human in front her. She was lost for words for a second, trying to figure out how to respond. She knew how to speak, she could so in her dragon form. "I'm okay, just deciding if I should enter the park or not." If his question meant for her acting strange or not, she would guess it was. Glancing around the park she didn't see anyone else around trees, unless they were leaning against it or under their shade. She lightly bit her tongue, wondering how out of the ordinary she looked.

Xylnthian stepped back and raised himself to his full height, raising an eyebrow. "Why do you need to decide?" He gestured at the park. "The park's a beautiful place, except for the annoying little screaming children. But other than it's super peaceful. Not to mention really pretty."

The park definitely was peaceful. It was large, and stretched over flat terrains and small hills, where there was a bridge crossing over a small stream that led into a pond. People were all over the place, splashing in the pond, sitting on benches talking, or maybe walking their dogs around. A light breeze blew through the face, and Xylnthian inhaled and exhaled happily.

He extended a hand. "Come on, wanna walk with me?"

She glanced at the human as he took a step back, raising himself to his full height, which was taller than her. She didn't like this feeling of being smaller than others, she liked being tall, taller than most trees and some of the buildings here if she had to guess. This whole trip was more of a mistake than a blessing.

Or maybe it was a blessing in disguise. Once he started to talk about the park did she really see it. People were having fun, the annoying children were screaming, but other parts were peaceful and pretty. It wasn't like her untamed forest where things grew where they want and there were always fallen logs. Here, it was almost organized while at the same time, it still looked natural. There were little hills and ponds and wolves running around after balls. Well, that was a bit strange, but maybe it was just a thing they did with the humans. After being in that city it was where she wanted to spend all of her time as a human.

Aero glanced at him as a breeze brushed past his face, his red hair gently moving as he took a deep breath. Some of her hair moved by her face too, and she pushed it behind her ear. Then he extended his hand and not understanding what he was doing she just looked back it him, just as he asked if she wanted to walk with him. She thought for a moment. This could be good or bad, good because she could talk with someone and possibly learn a bit about the humans and their behavior. Or it was bad because she barely knew anything about them and what they did. At least as a dragon she didn't have to worry about the risks she took, but here she could get found out, and without any defense she could be captured or killed.

But no, he seemed nice enough. Maybe he was ignorant like all the other people too. But by the way he thought she could tell he wasn't. Maybe he wouldn't question here, or she could give a good enough excuse. "Sure, I can walk with you." she said, glancing at his hand again. Was she supposed to do something with it? She was probably already messing up.

Or perhaps she wasn't as drugged up as he had initially thought.

Well, even so, stroking a tree as she had been was still weird it's own right. But what wasn't strange about the city? So many things worked differently here compared to out there, beyond the smokestacks. It was definitely overwhelming. Fortunately, for Griffin, he knew his way around quite enough to have become at least somewhat familiar with the customs of each settlement he visited. He was far more partial with this one in particular. Or any city, for that matter. Maybe it was a new trend? "Tree-stroking"? The thought sounded ridiculous, but most trends were.

As soon as the boy spoke to her, she appeared to snap out of her trance, dismissing his suspicions.  And yet as she responded, uncertainty laced her voice. The boy went on about how serene and in-touch with nature the park was, dismiss the noisy young ones- and it was, no doubt- but the way he recited it made him want to tear the sound sensitive functions out of his head.

The girl seemed to hesitate, thinking over the boy's offer long and hard before giving him his long awaited answer, which, to his surprise, was 'yes'. Nobody around here accepted help from strangers. They all knew better. She wasn't from here, that was for sure. To add to it all, she didn't even shake his hand. Now Griffin was intrigued. He shouldn't have been; he'd seen so much that it could hardly be anymore interesting than the bench he sat on. But it was.

"Are you really going to walk with him? You don't even know who he is." He called out lowly to them, a grim edge to his voice. He tilted his head downward so that his hood further concealed his face. It didn't matter if he was drawing attention to himself deliberately. He could still be discreet.

She jumped at the new voice, surprised that someone else spoke. Maybe it wasn't to them, but with the walking, it had to be. Locating the voice she saw someone in a concealed outfit. In most circumstances people would probably call him 'sketchy,' but not knowing better she just decided he was another person.

"Why wouldn't I walk with him? I don't know anyone around here." She froze, wondering if that was the right thing to say. Could she get away with saying that she lived in a forest her whole life? People do that right? She hated this feeling more, the feeling of worry, the feeling that every move she made could make her found out and captured before getting killed. Why did she do this when she already knew she was going to hate it? For knowledge, and look where it got her. Quietly taking deep breaths she tried to calm her slightly faster breathing, hoping no one would take note of her strange behavior. If only that was true. He would have never came over here if she wasn't acting weird, and they were probably both watching her. Maybe she could make a break for it and return to her mountain, never to come back here again.

Xylnthian's head turned around in the direction of the new voice. He stared at the figure. Cloaked, dark, mysterious. Wow, so edgy. Even his voice was edgy. Low, dark, grim. Maybe he was something like Batman? In normal circumstances, the figure would definitely would be a bad sign, but maybe not so much when it--he maybe, judging from the voice--was standing pretty much in the open with dozens of other people surrounding them on all sides. If he wanted to get away with some kidnapping or murder, then he would have to get through the dozens of people watching as well.

Xylnthian stood up straight, and ran a hair through his red hair. This seemed to be becoming a habit now. "Aww come on," he opened his arms confidently with a smirk, gesturing to his body. "I'm completely trustworthy. Besides, this chick looks like she could kick my ass, so I ain't gonna mess with her." At least, he believed he was trustworthy. Xylnthian might be a prankster, but he wasn't a douchebag. At least, not completely. Not like his older brother, who was a jerk, but not like Xylnthian wasn't a jerk back. Viper constantly would have to shut the two up since they began swearing matches like pretty much every day.

He stuck his hands into his pocket, eyeing her with sharp yellow eyes. She seemed... nervous. Almost fidgety, with slightly faster breathing than normal. He could tell she was trying to calm herself down by taking quiet, yet larger breaths. Hmm, suspicious, suspicious. Or maybe not. Maybe she was just anti-social, and nervous being around other people. But Xylnthian would make sure to keep that in mind. "Hey, hey, no need to look so nervous," he said, putting his hands up in a 'surrender' type of motion. "If you don't wanna walk with me, you don't have to." He pointed at the cloaked figure. "And you! You're one to talk, walking around with that cloak and face down being all mysterious and shit. You look like some kind of grim reaper thing that's out to suck our bloods or something."

Griffin couldn't help but chuckle as the boy thrust an index finger in his direction, accusing him of being "all mysterious and shit". Well, it wasn't his intention, but if that's what he looked to be, he wouldn't object. He tapped his fingers together, the digits making an ominous clinking sound as they made contact with each other. "I couldn't drink your "blood's" if I wanted to." He replied wryly, rising to his feet in a calm manner and taking a few strides closer to the duo. "The name's Griffin." He spoke in an all too pleasant tone, yet still masked by his naturally- well, naturally as someone such as him came- deep and coarse voice.

Normally he wouldn't bother with people such as them. They never seemed to interest him enough to give him a reason to converse with them and if he weren't going to converse with them any further, what was the reason in giving them his name? But these two; they interested him. Well, really only the girl but since the boy was here, he figured he might as well fit into the picture.

Griffin looked to the girl, his optics glowing a pinkish red from behind the hood, illuminating part of his face (if you could call it that). For a long moment he stared, analyzing her from head to toe. Yet, as he searched her up and down he still couldn't pin point what made her so different. It was possible she was some other creature. But why would she disguise herself as a human? Questions, oh so many questions, but no answers. For the first time in a great while, he was puzzled.

When no one tried to accuse her of acting strangely or wrong, she calmed down a bit. Maybe this was how humans act, or maybe she was being weird and they just didn't want to say anything about it. She looked at the red haired guy when he told her she didn't have to be nervous, and didn't have to walk with him. "It's fine, I can still walk with you." Her view turned to the cloaked figure again as the guy started to yell at him. Did wearing a cloak make him bad? Aero would never ask that question here though, seeing as the guy already made red hair not like him, or at least that's what she got from it.

Cloak spoke, replying to red hair. After that he said that his name was Griffin. That just made Aero think of the creatures, and she opened her mouth to ask if he was one, but thought against the question quickly closing it. She didn't need anyone to think that if he looked like he wasn't a griffin or griffon or whatever they called themselves, that she was something other than human. "My name's Aero," she said, a bit too fast for her to think about it. Was that normal? Would anyone recognize it? If she freaked out again they could think that something was wrong with her, maybe putting two and two together and realizing that she wasn't from here and was actually a dragon then killing her for it. But that was a bit far fetched, wasn't it? Or maybe not, maybe humans could sense when someone wasn't naturally one of their kind.

Her head had drifted down a bit as she thought, but a small glow from Griffin brought it back up. She looked at where his face would be if she could see from under the cloak, tilting her head questionly. Did all human have glowing eyes? The more she remembered what little she actually knew about humans frustrated her. She always thought of them as dumb creatures, draw to her for her scales or something like that. Always carrying around weapons and rare creatures on their back they'd later exchange for money. No one here was anything like that. The only knowledge she knew was from the people who'd come and try to attack her, from her own human form, and from briefly watching people on her way over here. How could they all be so different yet the same all at once?

    ~I'm just gonna post on Yuuki's account~

Xylnthian offered a bright grin at the black-haired female, his own eyes twinkling. At least she seemed to calm down with his offer, or maybe it was the fact that they--he was sure that the other person had also noticed--ignored the girl's anxiety and carried on like it was nothing. He blinked as a red light illuminated from the other thing's face, revealing part of its face. Xylnthian gazed, intrigued. He, an engineer at heart, loved machinery and technology and all of the fascinating things he could discover and build with them. But this creature.. this creature was different. Those lights came from a place where his mouths should have been, but instead had 4 strips of light. His skin however.. seemed very familiar. Xylnthian's brows furrowed. Could it be?

The girl's voice snapped him out of his thoughts, as he heard her introduce herself. Aero, huh? An interesting and unique name, but his name was unheard of as well... "It's great to meet you, Aero," he said cheerfully. "I'm Xylnthian, your knight in shining armor. I'll save you from the clutches of this mysterious figure!" he said dramatically with a fake swoon. "Don't you worry, my sweet, little princess!" He practically bounced on the heels of his feet, a habit he had developed when he became excited or stressful. He seemed to vibrate with a restless air, which was very true to his character.

Both of these people interested him immensely. Oh, there were so many new things he could discover from the organism--most likely synthetic, he reasoned--, and of course, he couldn't pass up the offer to hang out with a cute chick like Aero. Oh boy, this was turning out to be a great day. Maybe he should thank Shadowfire for kicking him out of the house... on second thought, nah. Shadowfire was an asshole who didn't deserve a thank you from someone as awesome as Xylnthian.

    (Short short short short.)

Griffin made a cheerful click, looking down on the two with inquisitive intent. Now that the tension between them had been lifted, he decided that he'd use that to his advantage and perhaps get a few answers out of the girl. He knew one thing for certain; she was no normal girl. Most wouldn't have been so eager to find out what they didn't know, but once Griffin was interested he needed all the answers he could find. "You aren't from around here, are you?" He pried, trying to get to the point gradually so that she hopefully wouldn't get uncomfortable and dodge his questions. ".. And you aren't from anywhere I've seen, that's for sure."

"So, if you don't mind me asking; what are you? Where do you come from?" He questioned, the grim edge returning to his voice. "And don't bother avoiding my question, I know something new when I see it."

Well, now Aero knew both of their names. As Xy spoke she just gave him a little smile, seeing as he was all cheerful and such it seemed like the right thing to do. Luckily they weren't left in complete and awkward silence afterwards, as Aero wouldn't have known what to talk about next. But on the downside, Griffin was asking where she was from, and the edge in his voice told her that he was onto her. Could he tell she was a dragon? Or was it that Xylnthian just didn't see her strange behavior as much as Griffin did?

Aero kind of froze up, unsure of what to say. Didn't she have a plan for this a moment ago? "Oh right, I lived in a forest my whole life." She said, trying to hide the worry from her voice. What would they do if they knew about her? Take her in for a bounty like everyone else tried to? Although the bigger question to her was what would she do. Turning into a dragon would be dangerous, there were a bunch of people around- not to mention she was in the middle of a giant city. If she tried to run Aero didn't know how fast humans were compared to her human self, who's to say that they couldn't just catch up to her? She didn't need to freak out again, she couldn't. Who knows what they'd think of it. Unintentionally she was slowly slipping behind Xylnthian, who at least didn't seem threatening to her. He at least didn't question where she came from or who she was or what she was or- Aero needed to stop her mind before it started to spin from all of these questions and scenarios. She would be fine, she was going to be fine.

Xylnthian casually stuffed his hands back into his pockets, adopting a casual and kind of slouched position. As Griffin seemed to turn on the girl, and accuse her of what she was and where she was from, Xylnthian subtly raised his eyebrow. Ah, so the synthetic organism noticed as well. Oh boy, things were going to get interesting. Aero mentioned that she had lived in a forest her whole life, as she was slowly slipping behind him. Griffin did seem threatening, but Shadowfire was just as threatening, so Xylnthian was sadly used to it.

He kept his tone cheerful and light, smiling with his eyes. "Aww Griffin, no need to point fingers so quickly," he teased, wagging a finger. "You're not much better off." Aero did seem the safer one out of the other two people. But Griffin was right. She definitely wasn't human, Xylnthian could tell that much. And she definitely was not used to the human culture, seeing as she seemed so nervous and jittery. "Haha, don't worry sweetheart. I'm here to protect you from the big bad wolf."

Griffin made an annoyed robotic gurgle at her answer. It definitely wasn't what he was looking for, but then again, if she were trying to hide it from them, she wouldn't just give it away. A forest, huh? Well, she wasn't being completely useless. Just then, Xyl piped in before he could speak. The way the guy spoke coupled with that smug grin made Griffin want to pummel him in the face. Of course, then he'd have to deal with the guard. What a day that would turn out to be.

He grunted, balling his fists. "Protect? Yeah, right." He scoffed at his lame attempt to flirt. "You still have a long way to go, kid." Now that he was out of the way, he could finally get back to the point. "Anyway.. You said you lived in a forest your whole life, right? Humans don't just live in the middle of the forest. Not anymore, at least."

Still a bit nervous Aero gave a thankful smile to Xy before Griffin started up with his accusations again. She began to get a bit nervous again, did humans not live in forests? How was she supposed to know that? Well, she wasn't, but it didn't stop her from wishing that she knew more about how humans acted before she came here. Too bad the only way to learn would be to mingle with them. But she still didn't know what to say to him, anything that she said could be wrong, wronger than she already was. It really would have been better to just run back home, away from all of these stupid humans. Although, Xylnthian wasn't that bad, she could live without seeing another human again.

Instead of saying anything to Griffin she just hid fully behind Xy, closing her eyes as if that would take her away from this situation and hide her from all of the stares trying to make her break. Well, they were working alright. She just buried her head in his arm, the feeling of the his soft clothes and his warm skin underneath it. Even though the scent making it's way into her nose smelled more artificial than natural, it would have to do for now. She had never wanted comfort before, but now it was all she wanted in this terrifying new world.

Xylnthian scoffed as Griffin called him a kid. He was not a kid. He was a fully grown 25-year-old who was totally mature. Maybe. But he had graduated university at the top of his class. That had to count for something, right? "I'm not a kid," Xylnthian retorted. "I am a fully functional adult of society. People these days." He shook his head mockingly. But Griffin did have a good point about living in the whole forest for her whole life. Modern humans didn't live like that, unless they were homeless. But even then, they probably wouldn't sleep out in the middle of the woods.

The salamander blinked as he felt Aero's face smush into his arm. He chuckled in amusement, staring down at the shorter girl and ruffled her hair because why not. "Wow, liking me already? I'm not surprised. I am super awesome, after all. No one can resist my charm." Xylnthian shrugged. "And if she wants to live in a forest, let her live in a forest. Who cares if she's human or not?"

(I'm bored and happened to remember. It's lacking because I'm tired.)

Griffin's frigid and forbidding luminous gaze bore mercilessly into the skull of the red-haired child. This brat was beginning to thoroughly get on his nerves. It was unlikely he'd get anything out of her if "Xylnthian" were to keep butting in. Why was he protecting this girl? He scowled mentally. Why did humans have to be so... confusing? ... And stubborn! Now the girl was trying to escape into the boy's flesh, burying her face into his arm as if it would make her invisible or transport her somewhere else. It was evident that she was trying to play the victim and hopefully avoid his questioning. Thankfully Griffin was just as (if not more) stubborn. Eventually he would have to get some kind of answer.... and he doubted that Xyl would do much to fight him off.

"Look, I ain't gonna try n' capture you or something like that. I ain't a monster hunter... or bounty hunter for that matter. I just travel a lot. It's not every day I see something as different as you." He assured her, pressing on in hopes of getting something out of that mouth of hers. "And at the very least something interesting. I promise!"

(No worries, I just want to finish this RP sometime Razz)

She ignored his ruffling of her hair, thinking that it was some other weird human thing. For a second she wondered if it worked, and if Griffin had walked away. Aero didn't want to risk the chance by looking up, and a few seconds later she was glad that she didn't. He was still trying to talk to her, claiming he wasn't a bounty hunter or that he was going to capture her. She still didn't know how much she could trust these humans, and if they were as greedy as her it wouldn't be good. To him she could be some other low prize creature, like some of those found on her island she guessed. But she knew that as a dragon she costed a lot, she even saw a poster for one on her journey over here.

"I can't even tell you out here," Aero mumbled into Xylnthian, so muffled that she couldn't even understand what she was saying. Having her hand brush over at one of her pockets she felt another gold piece, lifting her head from Xylnthian and glaring at Griffin. "If I give you thins will you just leave me alone?" She asked angrily, holding out the gold to him. Most of her gold she got from little villages either through bribe or after her destruction. Aero just hoped that he'd go away.

Xylnthian lifted his hand from Aero's black hair, grinning down at the girl. Of course, he already had his adorable boyfriend, or else he would have considered asking Aero out. She was just so adorable when she snuggled into his arm like that. Ah... she was definitely one of his baes. But Xyl wasn't one for long-term dating, considering all his past flings and one-night stands. Haru was the one exception. He sighed dreamily at the thought of seeing Haru again. They were going to have a fantastic time together next time he saw the foxcharm, if you knew what he meant, heh heh. Haru had both Xyl's affections and erections. But, man, this robot guy was confusing the shit out of him. What was it trying to do, kill Aero or something? Considering the robot's appearance, Xyl would not be surprised if that was what it intended. But once it said that it wasn't a bounty hunter, Xyl's confusion grew. What was this guy's deal?

But since Aero was so adorable, he would protect her, like the knight in shining red scales he was. He blew some red hair out of his face, rubbing at his golden eyes tiredly. "Dude, seriously. Pestering a cute girl like this is rude, man." He glanced at the gold piece she was holding out, and his eyes widened. "Holy shit, is that real solid, gold?" He offered the robot a bright grin, keeping in the fact that she had a solid chunk of gold, something that normal people would not have these days. Jesus Christ, Aero...

    "See? Cute and rich."

Griffin couldn't help but feel increasingly uncomfortable as the red-head stared at him with intense, almost frightening interest and.. disgust? Wasn't that what that expression usually meant? But before he could decide, it abruptly transitioned into a dreamy stare. This went back and forth for a bit until he noticed something a little bit odd happening in his pants.

What the fuck?! Griffin had his difficulties distinguishing human body language but this was most certainly a dead give away; this fucker was a pedophile! Or just someone with really odd fantasies... But nonetheless, Griffin was deeply disturbed and quite furious to say the least. Taking advantage of someone like that.. It was disgusting; twisted; unforgivable. To add to his suspicion, the way the red-head eyed the girl's gold was reeked of greed. Clearly, the boy had devilish intentions and Griffin wasn't going to let it slide.

"Step away from the girl." He snarled suddenly, using his quick hands and advantage of surprise to swiftly draw his crossbow and aim it directly between Xyl's eyes, his finger resting on the trigger. Now he had him pinned.. Or at least.. he was pretty sure he did. "Slowly." He jabbed at him threateningly with the crossbow.

Aero let out a small yelp when Griffin pulled out his crossbow, ducking back behind Xyl and holding onto his clothing as if he was a shield. Only when she noticed that he was aiming right at Xyl did she let go. "Don't kill him you idiot!" She screeched, most likely grabbing the attention of nearby people at the park. Pushing Xyl back a bit she stepped in front of him, attempting to push Griffin's arms down or away so that it wasn't aimed at Xyl. He was the only person she knew, and he was nice. She wasn't going to lose that just yet, and especially not from this thing.

Xylnthian winced, casting a glance down at his jeans. Ah, fuck. He had a hard on. No wonder his jeans felt so restrictive. His eyes closed instinctively. Shit, think sad thoughts, think sad thoughts. Dead puppies. World war. Terrorists. Haru dying. Fuck that's too sad shit lakdjakljeaklglkjkchdgzkjv. Xyl mentally signed in relief as his boner went down. Did anybody see? Oh, he hoped no one did. That would be embarrassing as hell. He took a deep breath, and opened his eyes.

What the fuck!? was the first thought that ran through his mind when he opened his eyes to be greeted with the tip of a crossbow. His eyes went cross-eyed as he looked down the shaft, then looked back at the synthetic robot. His hands slowly went up. Shit. "Whoa whoa whoa! Holy fuck, dude! If it's about the boner, I can totally explain!" But he listened and began moving out of the way, until he suddenly felt himself shoved back. Surprised, he glanced at Aero, who had moved in front of him. Aero was protecting him? Awwwww, how sweet! But really, she was gonna get herself killed. Not that Xyl probably would have died, but that was another issue.

Xylnthian reached forward to grab Aero's shoulder, dragging her back to his side. "Whoa ho, feisty!" Xylnthian stared at Griffin. "K, but seriously. What the hell?"
