First topic message reminder :
Everything was scary and he wanted OUT. Waaaay to many hoomans had been near him, and he had just managed to bolt away from them. It was roughly high noon and he had made quite some distance from the hoomans, and felt generally safe and slowing down under a tree. Panting, he quickly plopped down in the brush. It was too hot to be exerting so much effort with no reward. His chest rose and descended with each forceful exhale of hot breath as he cooled and calmed himself. After catching his breath, he peered around, not seeing any signs of the hoomans. Part of him wanted to climb into the tree and hide until night, but his stomach said no. Luckily for him, there was a berry bush right next to the tree, with the wind blowing at his back. Happy to get some liquid and food in his gullet, Shudaar got himself up and approached the bush, sniffing it and gently pulling the berries off with teeth retracted. No one wanted to eat a squished berry, and when not squished, he got all the yummy juice! Munching on his 8th berry, his snout bumped into something fuzzy and moist. Blinking and tilting his head, he saw a large fuzzy brown creature rise on its hind legs, sharp black claws on its two limbs. As it roared at him, Shu managed to half turn to flee before one of the massive claws smashed into his right side, launching him. The impact sent him spiraling in the air, a tree trunk catching him solidly with a smack and crack. Sharp pain flared in his side from the swipe and his right wing, which took the tree's impact. Yowling in pain as he crumpled at the base of the tree, he only had enough time to look up and see the brown creature charging him on all four paws.
