As soon as the drink was placed onto the table, Lorne's hand slowly reached over to it, his fingers wrapping around the glass. He quickly downed the whole shot, the alcohol barely touching the back of his throat. However, Lorne was disappointed when he didn't feel the burn at the back of his throat that everyone talked about with alcohol. "I don't think that's going to influence me any time soon..." He said to himself with a shrug, turning his attention back to Jhonen.
Thankfully, he didn't need to distract himself as Jhonen began to speak again, his voice almost soothing against the shrieks of the humans attempt of singing. Scratch that, it was probably the sexiest thing he'd ever heard and blew the 'singing' out of the water.
The final shrill note caused Lorne to shiver, his nails biting into his skin and slightly drawing blood. It took all that he had not to throw the brand new knife into the singers chest to silence him for his disgusting songs. However, what he didn't expect was for Jhonen to suddenly shout out, causing Lorne to half jump back in surprise and watch him. Damn, he didn't get to inquire about scotland, but Jhonen did seem... Rather angry.
After his rather dramatic speel, Jhonen pushed himself to his feet and began to approach the stage. As requested, the gorgeous piano was rolled on stage, and Lorne tilted his head to the side as he watched the crimson haired man slightly skew the instrument. It was a deliberate placement, and Lorne hid a smile.
He had his doubts, thinking that he was probably just doing this to show off. A small frown creased on his face. If he was, then why would Jhonen have a table basically reserved for him, and why did people follow his requests directly.
Jhonen made the declaration for the song being played, and Lorne would lean forward in his chair, his head slightly tilted to the side. He had heard of the band before, and inwardly, he was curious to know just what his date was trying to pull off.
His fingers danced across the keys, elegantly playing them right off memory, the sheet music unneeded with this man. The natural grace of his movements, the ease of playing, the self-confidence... Lorne knew he was an expert, and the melody soon captured his heart.
But the words struck home as he began to sing, his voice silencing even the rowdiest of the group as they listened to his words. The words would cause Lorne to have his cheeks slightly redden from either embarrassment or surprise, he didn't know. The duo at the back pitched in their part, but Lorne was barely paying attention to them, his focus on the man who sat down on the piano playing as his heart commanded.
Lorne tried his utmost best to keep his face from falling into a tranquil and peaceful expression as the music soothed him. But he would eventually fail, and his eyes wouldn't falter from Jhonen. Not even once during the whole song. His attention wouldn't be shared.
Damn, so help him if he decided not to take Jhonen for his own...
